Team History:

The Falcons were a brand new team formed in July 2010 as a result of a personel request from the late Heather Harris. With many of the group new to football, the squad completed their first ever season as a 7-a-side squad in the BYDL league at Reading Hockey, netting 33 league goals and finishing the league season with 4 successive victories.  They finished the 2010/11 season a on real high, by winning the knock-out final at the Woodley Saints South of England 6 a-side Championship Tournament. The team has developed into a confident & well organised 11 a-side team and after winning their first competitve match away in Teddington, they went on to to beat sides from Wokingham, Bracknell, Basingstoke, Ascot and Lower Earley, netting 46 league goals in the process. The Woodley Saints Falcons were also voted the winners of the EBYFL Divisional Fair Play Award for 2011/12. The Falcons squad continues to evolve and will compete in the fixed venue BYDL in the 2012/13 season.
