We are planning to start a new U7 team in January – interested parents should click here to make an enquiry
FA Charter Standard Community Status
We were one of the first clubs in the country to achieve the highest level on the 28th January 2008 largely thanks to the sterling efforts of our past chairman and club secretary, husband and wife team Bob and Leslie White. In 2010 Woodley Saints were proud to be invited to Adams Park at High Wycombe to be presented with the first ever Berks & Bucks award for FA Charter Standard Community Club of the Year.
Kind Sponsors of Woodley Saints
We would like to thank all of our sponsors for their ongoing generous financial support and kit sponsorship. Woodley Saints is run by volunteers from the local community and is entirely reliant on player subscriptions, kind sponsorship and fundraising. This enables us to continue to provide fun football for the boys and girls of Woodley at Berkshire County Sports.
Our Origins The Early Years –
Back in the early eighties there was a thriving boys club on Friday evenings at the St John Bosco Catholic Church in Woodley. Boys of all faiths were welcome to attend. The club was organised and run the local parish council led by Jim Glenfield. In 1983 they set up a football team and named it Woodley Saints. The team was funded by the profits from the Boys Club tuck shop.
